Wednesday again. This week for your benefit, here is a list of events coming up around our fair city.

Thursday, Feb. 6th

Mind Over Mirrors, Matt Christensen, Shedding
Dreamland, 810 E. Market Street (in the alley behind Decca Restaurant)
As part of the New Media Project, Jaime Fennelly as Mind Over Mirrors, Matt Christensen, and Shedding will be performing at Dreamland Performing and Visual Arts Space. Doors open at 7 PM, and the first act begins at 8 PM. $ 10 admission.

Friday, Feb. 7th


Scholastic Art Awards Exhibit Opening Reception

KMAC, 715 W Main St
Showcasing award winning creative high school students within the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards program. The Louisville Metropolitan Regional Scholastic Art Awards are administered  by Jefferson County Public Schools with support from the Fund for the Arts and the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft. Reception starts at 6 PM.

The Empire Never Ended
Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art, 1043 Virginia Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46203
A group exhibition based on the Philip K. Dick novel VALIS featuring Blind Date featured artist Prince Rama among many others such as Marc Bijl, Serge Onnen and Benny Sanders. Opening reception 6 PM to 11 PM. The exhibits will run with iMOCA’s new hours of Tuesday-Wednesday 4-8 p.m. and Thursday-Saturday 1-8 p.m.


Shape Show!

Zanzabar, 2100 S Preston St
Blind Date collaborators Ben Traughber (Dream Eye Color Wheel) and Lady Pyramid are performing along with Tall Squares. Doors open at 8 PM, first act begins at 9 PM. $ 5 admission.

Saturday, Feb. 8th

Annual XXX Art Show
Ultra Pop!, 960 Barret Ave
Ultra Pop is holding its 3rd annual group show with a focus on Adults Only subject matter.
Reception opens at 7 PM to 10 PM.
