Winter greetings listeners! I hope all of you are having a nice holiday season.

Last week I sat down with three of the many rotating members of Spettra. Teresa Koester Mills, Allie Marcum, and Kevin Melzer filled me in on what Spettra is all about.

Spettra is a projectionist collective who specialize in the hands on approach. Their visuals are based in lo-fi technology such as overhead projectors, kitchen liquids and hand held paraphernalia. If it can be found on a shelf, they’ve probably tried it. Above is a small glimpse at what they can do.

You can learn more at their Facebook page. Of course, you can always listen in to our discussion to get the 411..

Till next time.

Better late than never…right, listeners?

Today’s episode consists of a Skype interview I had with Christina Smith. Under the moniker Christina Rae, she has performed at various locations (at home & abroad) and released her first collection of songs (the EP, Grey Sea, which is available now on Bandcamp!)

Christina Smith is a young folksy singer-songwriter from Louisville, living in Chicago. She writes about love, loss, and life experiences the majority of us are all too familiar with.

To get ahold of her new EP, Grey Sea, click away at this link: https://christinarae.bandcamp.com/

You can find more of Christina’s work on her personal Youtube channel. A link below is provided for your convenience.

She is also available on Facebook, as well as the interview housed in the player below…ooooor as a podcast which is now available on iTunes.

Below is a music video featuring next week’s guest…Christina Rae. Christina Rae Smith is an emotionally charged singer-songwriter from Louisville Ky, studying in Chicago. The song featured in the video is titled ‘Old Soul’. If this peaks your interest, make sure to find your way to the interview Wednesday afternoon.

Happy Wednesday listeners.

Today’s show features the talented Lindsay Sant. A goodhearted artist who has a hand in many different ‘pies’, so to speak. An U of L Alumni whose focus has taken some major shifts; from print making, to film, to video projection, to Graphic Design, Radio show host, and so much more. Definitely an interview which I regrettable had to edit down quite a bit. Computers can only handle so much, I suppose…

Also, quite a soothing interview, I might add (I listened to it enough to know!)

For more information about Lindsay’s show on ArtxFM Louisville, you can go the following links:

Below is a short teaser clip of Lindsay doing projections for Connor Bell of Shedding, at the Land of Tomorrow Gallery in Louisville.  Above are photos from that performance (all by SarahKatherineDavis.com).
